About CHANGE Arts πŸ’Ό

CHANGE Arts aims to make arts access limitless, so everyone has lifelong experiences with the Visual, Performing, and Literary Arts to nurture reflection, empathy, and joy. CHANGE wants to see the arts-going demographic become more diverse and colorful, while in pursuit of personal, communal, and systemic change.

Project Objective 🌟

CHANGE Arts intends to develop their Find Your Art (FYA) platform which would focus on creating an arts search engine to better match arts events with possible classroom and community partners from across the country.

This platform will be made available for free to all arts presenters, arts education providers, and arts support organizations (e.g., Theatre Communications Group, Dance/USA, etc.) to promote arts education and engagement services, productions, and exhibits to any CHANGE Arts partner.

Process πŸ’

We familiarized ourselves with the organization during the first few meetings with the client since the project did not have any existing data and analytics as a 0 to 1 product. The two main goals for the project were also discussed, which were to:

  1. Design a website to provide a searchable arts resource, including artworks, workshops and events for education providers and community groups to access best-matching arts materials for curriculum, questions, and interests.
  2. Offer arts organization partners access to upload and share continuously updating artworks and events.

Research

Due to the project being in its initial stage, the designers expanded their research across three topics to gain a deeper understanding of the product and potential members, current market, and target audience.

Product and Potential Members

We contacted the client to gather information about how the organization was faring at the start of the project. There were two key takeaways to understanding the status of the organization. Firstly, the recruitment process for art organizations has not started, but it will begin shortly with no geographical limitations. Designers also assisted in the client's recruitment process by searching for potential members as well. Secondly, the FYA search engine platform is expected to support 100s of organizations and users.
